for riding for about 1200 km, I have not clean chain and sprocket.
So, they are black and dirty.

I washed them with Gasoline. they could take back their shining.

This time, I didn't use normal lub. Coz it makes chain sprocket be dirty.
So, I use silicon dry oil.

Changing seat stays

The height of seat becomes high by changing the construction of steering. It's hard to touch the ground by hands.

So I changed the stays to get lower height of the seat.



They were cut.



Then new stay was made and welded at same part.



The difference of the height.



Then paint.




I'm going test riding from now.

I appreciated to event for cycling

The event opened at hamana lake at last Sunday. We rode around it, the distance about 90 km.

I'm waiting my start. 1500 people's appreciated to this event.

I'm very tired. But I got useful info. To improve my bike By appreciating to this event.

Max speed

On down hill, I got 61.8km/h.



And I rode for about 50 km today. After that, I took a nap for four hours and I'm getting a little headache.
I may get food to keep energy with riding.

changed sponge of the seat

I had used hard sponge for the bath. It's too hard.
I changed it to softer one.

The thickness is about 30 mm. I can turn smoothly.
It has many flowers on the surface.

Need more force

Yesterday, I made steering pivot construction again.
This time, I found the frames of the seat was extended.
To find better seat position easily, the middle stay was taken off. So around the middle of the frames supported my weight without middle stays.
They need more force.

After repairing. We can see a hole, and I welded thin iron sheet at the neighbor of it. Then the extended oval hole was welded with the thin iron sheet.
We can't see the extended oval hole now.



The frames are back on the seat.



Now I'm thinking how I can bore the sponge of the seat.

Changing construction of steering

M12 bolt made from mild steel is weaker as axle of steering pivot.
After riding for 20 km, it is bent a little. That was repeated still riding to 1000 km.
So I had to improve the problem.



The axle bolt on above photo is one After riding for 400km.



Then I use rod end and bolt used with milling machine. MIG welding was used in this time. It's easier than arc rod welding.

This operation was completed a day. MIG welding is speedy !

Almost 1000km, the second python is ridden

Today, too I rode my second python. I has ridden for about 1000 km.

But, the pivot axle has problem. I use the construction of steering pivot based on flevo. I use M12 axle. It's weak. I have changed it after I rode for 600 km.
Two weeks later, I will ride it for 90 km a day. It's danger, the axle may break.

So I have to make believable pivot as soon as possible.

Making stays to attach computer for bike

I bought new indicator for bike.
This time I chose one to calculate cadence. To attach it, I made stays.





I have trained riding python. For these weeks, I train pedaling with one leg. Then now I can pedal with 50km/h.
In this month, I appreciate the event of bike. The distance to ride is 90 km around a lake.
So I need more data to ride for long distance.
I already rode 820km with my second python.

Making reflector

I broke two reflectors. They are made from plastic. It's easy to brake.
So I made a reflector from iron sheet by myself.



I learned the way to bend iron sheet when I built my second python.
It's fun to make something by myself.
