Breaking spokes

The some spokes was broken of my new pink python.
Maybe the reason is too weak spokes were used and the balance of tension wasn't adjusted.
So I can never have a trust there wheels which I bought from the net.
I thought about the solution.
But I can't have a trust the all parts of these wheels. So I'm going to make new wheels by my self , that's better I think.
And I will use different way to make them. Today I studied about that.

Painting

For these two days, I spent at my friend's garage Fuuden factory to finish my third python designed by me.
At first, I should say in sorry, coz I forgot taking photos of the first day's stuff.
These photos are the second day's.

I made my own pink by mixing white and red. After I tried to do it for some times, I couldn't notice the difference of before and after mixing. Then I stopped making my own pink. I think that I need comparing.
The sheet was made iron tube and campus cloth.

These small parts were painted by white.

Main tubes are painted by pink.



I noticed 40 square and 40x16 rectangular tube have enough stiffness. The center part made from 32 square is enough, but for 32 x16 rectangular is week.
My design in this time is near to the origin by Jugen Mages. To keep precise measurements, I changed a little. The origin design is simple and stiff, I can say it.

Making small parts

I made some small parts.
At first, I made a reflector for back. I cut iron sheet and bent it and drilled for screw.

Next, I made two handle for carrying this bike.

I cut out side pipes from the old handle. For pieces of iron sheet, too.

Then tacked like this on the stay for fenders.
After checking the balance, angle, welded.

This is for rear,

This is for front.

I made stay to put on smart phone and light.

I tapped 10 mm tube with M8 tap. Then, I drilled the side of the tube and welded 22 mm tube and the 10 mm tube.
M8 screw was installed in the 10 mm's, then welded through the hole on the side.

This is attached on the tube for front deraileur.

I made smaller part to attach a sensor for cadence.

Install bike parts

I tried to install some parts of bike for example, brakes, crank, chain wheel.


Where should I attach shift levers ? If I attach them on the handle, they are under the seat.
If I bought rapid fire system by shimano, it is useful, but expensive.

Making stay for fender

I made stays for rear fender. I welded them this time, too. In ordinal many case, they are attached by screws.

Then I confirmed whether they fit the rear wheel.

Then tacking and welding.

Next, I welded stay for handle.

I checked whether the angle of the handle and center line is 90 degrees like this.
Only frame.

I want to ride it as soon as possible. If tomorrow isn't rainy, I will install crank, chain, brake.

Sewing seat

I used sewing machine to make seat.

The cloth is thicker. It isn't easy to make a hole.

This is my first time to make seat like this. There must be better way to do it.

I can check the seat position and decide the length of the handle, now.

The rope is for sky diving.

Making seat adjuster

I used same method to make stays. First tacking.

Drilling and cutting, sanding.

Voila.

They were installed.


I covered each columns for seat.

Then, bar to attach front deraileur. The angle 63-66 degrees.


Checked on front view.

Welded.

Next I welded some pipes to make stay for fender.
