Steering pivot, stays for seat

The part of steering pivot was reinforced.

The tube put in the steering pivot box and tacked.
Next I made stay for seat.

One pair of tube were cut same length, bent same angle.

The other tube was cramped like this and check the angle.

Then tacked and welded.

The welding of this part is very difficult. I need making more one. I have to try to find better way.

Repairing sheet for my second python

I found that the frame of 90 degrees angle was broken. The thickness is 1.0 mm.

Around here, it had been broken before. Why does it have ? The other side haven't had such problem.
Any way, I decided to repair it.
Back side.

Welded by MIG.

Then sanded, painted.

I may make the back frame again. I have to think construction of my new python again.

Welding drop outs and boss for disk brake

I sanded upper part of drop outs.
Then set up for welding
Welded.


Next, I made boss for disk brake.

I made four sort tube it has M6 female screw. The out side diameter 9 mm.

I attached them to disk brakes.
Taking

Welded. Front brake.

Rear brake.


About the place of brakes. Especially, front one can be attached under of frame. In this case, when I fall down, the brake hit the ground. It's sensible. So I set it on the frame.

Tomorrow, I think seat positron.
And some narrow rod work.

Making front part 2

I made front noise to attach BB shell.
At first, each edge were cut.

Then tacking and welding.


Next, BB shell were welded.
I checked the space between crank and frame. I tried to these spaces were equal. At that time, the center of BB shell moves to chain wheel. I'm not sure, whether that's right.


The BB shell were mounted on the nose.

To save the thread, I screwed in the other parts of cup and corn.


Then welded.

Always cleaning is needed after welding. It takes time.


The edge of front noise was closed like this.



Then sanded. I should sanding instead of cleaning !

The upper part of drop outs were flatten.

I checked where drop outs should be welded, then I noticed my big mistake.
The width of hub is 135 mm. I designed for 130 mm !
I cut the front part, then welded again. So the surface isn't flatten. I mind the stiffness.

Making front part

At first I made steering pivot.

I should drill as next step. I couldn't notice that.
The rectangular tubes are bent along with my drawing then tacked.

Welded. It need cleaning flux.

Cleaned.

I think my welding skill became a little good at flat part.

Today's last shot.

24 hours of working time passed.

Connecting rear and center part

More welding line is needed to get more stiff.





I used drawing in 1/1 scale to set along with the center line.

Then bending with the angle 143 degrees. It's needed welding on the all of the surface to get enough stiffness.

Making rear part

I started the edges of rear part.



I bent along with the drawing 1/1. It's needed to set precisely.


Tacking then welding.


It's needed cleaning.


Cleaned.

The width became wide after welding. I cut the out side of surface then bent a little and welded.

Attached drop out.
