Making frames of seat and fenders

It's raining today. My body is heavy at such day. But I worked. My life time keeps to decrease.

At first, I made frames of the seat. The thickness 1mm. I don't know where we can buy such thin L angle. So I made them.
Clumping then hitting by hammer.

Then, cut off.

Next making fenders. The thickness 0.8 mm.
I had similar task to make them.

Then it needed to bend more.

Hitting, hitting.

By the way, the spindle parts of crank have rust.

To take rust off, I always use cleaner for toilet which includes acid.

Well done. I attached crank and chain wheel.

Attaching stay for rear fender

This time, I use second hand donor folk.
It doesn't have stay for rear fender. The rear fender attached M5 screw.

At first, making circle plate and drilled and tapped at the center.

Then tack welding.

Then welding !
I welded well in this time.

Then brushed and cleaned.

Making seat stay

It's harder to make without three dimensional cutting.

Check horizontality.

Tacked and checked again.

This time, I didn't do three dimensional cutting. At first I tacked them, then I welded to cover the hole, finally welded fully with high output voltage.

Line this.
After brushing.

Today's second job is tapping for attaching seat and reflector.

The last job is making spacer for steering axle.

It's from donor bike for kids.

Making stays of rear part

Last night, I designed the stays again.
Today I made them.

View from back side

Off course, tack welding is first thing.

It isn't needed to cut the edge to fit to the part which is attached.
At first, with low out put, I extend the edges to fit to the part which is attached.
Then with high out put, I weld them.

I have to brush my welding skill more.

Welding stays to attach sheet instead of fender

I thought that all stays could be made. But I haven't made a sheet yet.
I can use my second python 's sheet. Although I don't want change the setting.

Any way, today I made front stays and some parts.

At first, I cut rod and made slit to bend.

It's important to be same length same angle exactly.
Then welding.

While Tack welding, I checked balance. Then full welding.
A little higher out put is better than out put which is used to cover hole.

The other ones which were made are spacer.

Making handle Gruber

In here, Japan, the bike should have handle to be ridden on the public road.

Basically, the python didn't need handle for steering. But I have to make it and attached it to my bike.

Cutting rectangular and tube.

Then the rectangular and the tube are cut a half.

Check the center.

Then welding.

Brush brush to clean flux.

Adjust the width to fit U thread.

After that, it was welded to the front part.

Then making handle.
The tubes are cut.

The edges which are welded cut are marked.

Then cutting and sanding

Check the angle.

Too wide. Both edges needs less angle.

Common ! They are welded.
